Neutral is not really my kind of tone as I love bright colors! However, I'm seeing a lot of this earthy shades in the catwalks and magazines that it grew into me. I love that it is simple and yet it can be very chic and sleek. One can also incorporate this shade in their wardrobe and come up with various looks for different occasions! See what I came up with!
I always associated neutrals with earth tones so the looks that I came up are derived from this tone. And the fashion piece I used is a maxi pleated skirt I got from Zara a couple of years ago. It is a faux leather which makes it animal friendly while keeping a chic vibe.
Look One: Golden Yellow
I love this color match as it reminds me of the sunflower! I think it is timely to wear as we welcome spring. It is not too bright that it looks summer but not to dark that it reminds one of winter. I also think that the handbag is a perfect match as it literally earth tones. I love the structure of it, three bags in one! Practical yet stylish and chic! I have worn this to work or just on casual day out of home.
Look Two: Paprika Red
When it comes to neutrals, I somehow always think of muted colors and this is why I chose this bright paprika red top from Zara! The contrast against the brown skirt I think is outstanding! As always, a sense of balance is important that is why I accessorized the look with my brownish red earrings from Forever21 and wooden necklace I got from my travel in Thailand. I did not change the bag nor the boots as I do not see the need to do, overall I think the look is well rounded.
Last but not the least, isn't this location the perfect place for the looks? If you ever visit Ottawa, Canada, you must not miss out OAG Ottawa Art Gallery. I guarantee you will see a lot of interesting art pieces and learn some fascinating history!
