Finally, Spring is here and it is just timely to continue my Spring Into Pastels Series! For this article, I played with the luxurious colour called Marigold. It is a yellow- orange-goldish tone, just like the flower it is named after. It is not an easy colour to wear but I have found the right piece to make it wearable and style-able for all and at any occasion. I got this flowing maxi skirt from Zara. I got it first because of the colour but also because it has a chic cinch at the corner. The cinch makes this skirt edgy and stylish although at times it can create an illusion of a small bulge in the tummy. I did not mind though as it is so stylish that the rest of the looks can distract one away from it, lol! Here are the three looks that I came up with that I'm excited to share with you as it is truly versatile and wearable!
LOOK ONE: Elegant Look
This skirt is actually part of a coordinate outfit as you can see here. The soft long sleeves top is classy with its loose fitting sleeves. To calm down the strong warm colours, I used the same family colours like orange and brown for the accessories: the earrings, glasses and bag. I wore grey for my foot wear and an extra-long necklace to complete the look.
LOOK TWO: Professional Look
This is a look that I want to wear to the office or to meeting, hence it is essential to tone down the colours. To do so, I paired the skirt with this kimono style top in green moss. I matched my accessories using green tones like my eye glasses and bracelets. And I want the look to be approachable and not too serious so I chose this raffia cactus bag from Mango.
LOOK THREE: Fun Look
What makes this last look fun are the accessories particularly the necklace from Mango. The tasselled earrings matched with the fringe necklace creates a playful vibe! The same goes with the sleeveless high neck top, it has some shiny stitching on it that makes it glam and flirty!
Hope you enjoyed this! Last of the series is all about pinks!
