"Spring" Into Pastels Series - Pink

by Patricia-Ann Que | 2018-06-07

The sun is out and the heat is on! Summer is finally here but before we get into our summer outfits, I still have one more spring color to style!  This piece is perfect as a transitional item as we move away from spring to hot summer. I love this pleated skirt that I got from H&M because of so many good reasons! First I love the color, this warm pink rose is so perfect for both spring and summer. The warmth is suitable for spring and pink itself is a fun summer color. Second thing is the pleats! This style makes it look more feminine and classy that can be easily dressed up or down! And thirdly, I love the length! I would say that it is between midi and maxi- it is not long enough to 'sweep the floor' but it is not right under the knee. This length has so much flexibility that one can wear it to work, a romantic date or when one just one to be chic. I love all the three looks that I have actually worn all of them several times but I would love to know which one will you wear or the one you like most!

LOOK ONE: Chic and Modern

Though the skirt is feminine, I would say that this is a chic and modern look because of the accessories and the power color red! The cut of the sleeveless top from Topshop  makes it modern while the red raffia bag from Mango paired with the red spring boots from Zara creates an overall chic look!

LOOK TWO: Stylish and Edgy

I love this look and is a sure great head turner! The most common compliment I get from this look is the wonderful match of color. The royal blue top from Zara creates a stylish contrast with the warm rose pink. Its cut is also classy which makes wearable for meetings or at a creative. I accessorize it with this statement necklace and this straw bag that I got both from a local market in Thailand. I complete the look with this edgy boot sandals from ShoeDazzle that has the exact color as my top! Love this pair as it is both wearable for both spring and summer and the laser cut design is again, just edgy. And lastly, I topped it off with a pair of funky earrings from Mango.

LOOK THREE: Professional and Fun

Last but not the least is this cute work outfit! This is not your regular work outfit as it is not a suit but I must say that if you work in a creative office like I do, this is surely a go! The espadrilles from Steve Madden is perfect for summer while the poplin top from Zara with pink and white stripes keeps it professional. And of course, I just need to match it with this basket bag that is just so trendy at the moment. I feel like every girl has it at the moment. By the way, I got this bag about ten year ago back in my beloved Phuket, Thailand!
